The Fr. Casper Gensler, OFM Conference Room is located just off of the rear entry (west side of rear parking lot), first door on the left as you enter, to Sacred Heart Church.
The safety video (mandatory) and participant registration lasts approximately 15 minutes.
Collection bags, safety vests, and water will be provided.
Participants need to be at least 12 years old, should wear sturdy shoes (no sandals or open toed footwear), bring gloves (such as garden or work), wear sunscreen or hat. Long pants are recommended. A pick up device (grabber) is quite useful so bring it if you have one. Depending upon conditions bug spray may be called for.
The overall length of each of the clean-up sections is aboiut 2 miles long. Participants will be assigned in groups of 2 or more to work on shorter sections.
The Calumet Council 1245 Knights of Columbus is coordinating this event and have the section of Pine Street from US 41 to the Houghton County Sewage Authority (Calumet Waterworks Road). The Keweenaw Catholic Community section runs from the Sewage Authority to just past McGunn's Creek on M-203.
